CAD Viewer enables you to view and print CAD files in DWG or DFX formats. Additionally, the program also supports image formats like BMP, JPEG, GIF, documents (PDF) and other less known formats that are used by professionals. CAD Viewer runs well on all Windows versions and is able to open up to 240 drawings at the same time.
I must admit that CAD Viewer comes with a lot of features and functions, but still, I consider that the price of the program is quite high. Other similar programs that I tested offer almost the same features for free. Also, when dealing with large DWG files, the application might stop responding.
The graphical user-interface of CAD Viewer is highly customizable and offers access to a large number viewing options. Also, it includes Back and Forward buttons that will allow you to easily navigate through the loaded drawings. Moreover, you are offered the opportunity to toggle between various display modes like: color, black and white, “rendered”, etc.
One interesting aspect about CAD Viewer is, in my opinion, its ability to save various drawings to PDF format. This feature is extremely useful for students that need to save their project to a more popular format.
CAD Viewer proves to be a viable solution for opening CAD files in various formats.
